American Brasserie The Maine secures iconic heritage property in the heart of Mayfair to open in October

The MAINE Mayfair – a 350-cover American Brasserie split over three levels - will open at 20 Hanover Square, London in October 2021.

Residing in one of Mayfair’s only surviving Georgian ‘Grade II’ listed buildings, this historic townhouse – which dates back to 1720 and is the former homestead of the Duke of Montrose - has been reimagined by founder Joey Ghazal in collaboration with London-based designers Brady Williams. This will be the very first time the site has been used as a social dining and entertainment destination.

Divided across three levels with five distinct spaces - including a brasserie, tavern and secluded year- round terrace – every part of the house, including its somewhat hidden entrance, has been carefully designed with a fun, discerning London audience firmly in mind.

Ideally located on Hanover Square – where elegant Mayfair rubs shoulders with fun Soho - The Maine will be a “blend of old-world British Elegance, New England extravagance and subterranean decadence.” Unpretentious and accessible, this 350-cover destination will open daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner, after-work martinis, oysters galore and very late night cocktails. A carefully curated music programme will also be very much on the menu.
