Manga Banga set to open in Marylebone early July

23 June 2022

Manga Banga, a new Japanese concept is opening early July on Lisson Grove.

Taking cues from Izakaya’s, the informal Japanese bars that serves alcoholic drinks and snacks, Manga Banga will bring together delicious Asian small plates, bao, inventive cocktails and, of course, manga – Japanese comics and graphic novels developed in the late 19th century.

It will serve a concise menu, designed to be shared, featuring signature dishes including Crispy baby squid with yuzu kosho mayo; Bang cauliflower; Seared salmon sashimi with yuzu-soy and ginger; Spicy tuna tacos with scorched chilli salsa; and Vegetable gyoza. While Japanese at heart, dishes will be centred around the best British produce available, with the menu a celebration of ingredients found on Manga Banga’s doorstep.

The 50-cover restaurant is located just 150 yards from Marylebone Station. A feature wall covered with over 100 manga magazine covers, neon signage, and a striking mural coupled with fun interpretations of Japanese dishes will be one not to miss.

Manga Banga opens at 41-43 Lisson Grove London NW1 6UB
