42 Apart Hotel opens in Scunthorpe for fourth site

42 Apart Hotel has opened in Scunthorpe, the fourth site for the chain.

The 42 Apart Hotel has completely transformed the former Conservative Club on Doncaster Road following a £400,000 redevelopment.

The hotel welcomed its first guests on January 4 to its location opposite the Baths Hall.

Nine of the rooms are large suites with kitchenettes, and the other 21 are single or double rooms.

Awaias Riaz, the managing director of the hotel, said: "There's a lot of places to put your head down in Scunthorpe, but not many that feel special.

"We want to make customers feel really comfortable with a modern, contemporary hotel. Hopefully, they leave with a different level of satisfaction.

"It's been a little bit of surprise how popular it's been straight away, with 70 per cent of the rooms being booked up in January. That's great for a hotel that's just opened - we were a little taken aback.

"Our customers aren't just people coming from out of town, we've also had a local couple book it for a birthday.

"We want to add those little touches that make it feel like home. For example, every room comes with a smart TV with Netflix."

A night in one of the hotel's suites costs £80, while another room would cost £60.

The café at the site will open to the public on Saturday, February 1.

This is largest 42 Apart Hotel opened so far by Awaias' company, which also has branches in Huddersfield, Dewsbury and Barnsley.
