Holiday lodge park opens in North Wales

Rwst, a new £1.8m holiday lodge park, has opened in the North Wales market town of Llanrwst.

Occupying a location on the edge of the historic town, with views across the River Conwy and the Snowdonia mountains beyond, the park is a redevelopment of the Trem Gwydir holiday village. It includes 22 five-star holiday lodges, with one, two, and three-bedroom single-storey lodges available for holiday rentals.

Interior design has been led by Mon Interiors, with soft furnishings from Welsh suppliers including woven tapestry bedspreads from the nearby Trefriw Woollen Mills.

Mia Lynch from Actually Parks, which owns and operates the park, said: "The team at Rwst has worked exceptionally hard to develop a premium holiday destination to match what is an exceptional location. Llanrwst is a beautiful town and ideally placed for exploring North Wales. We’ve already had some great feedback from our guests, and bookings are already looking strong through summer and into the autumn.”

Jim Jones, director of North Wales Tourism, added: "One thing is for certain, Llanrwst will be a great destination to visit this summer as North Wales tops the charts as a staycation destination. The investment and promotion that has gone into Rwst will further enhance Llanrwst’s growing reputation as a beautiful place to visit."
