New coastal guesthouse opens in Whitley Bay

A new coastal guesthouse in Whitley Bay has opened its doors, with the elected mayor of North Tyneside attending the opening.

Stay Coastal provides seven boutique rooms, along with automated check-in and keyless entry, free high-speed WI-FI and drinks stations in each room.

Three North East businesswoman Anna Fisher, Debbie Dorans and Jacqui McGuire are behind the venture, which has been designed to be Covid-19 secure.

Fisher said: "The initial feedback and reviews from guests have been outstanding. We are very grateful to the mayor for taking the time to help us mark our opening.

"As a resident of Whitley Bay, and having grown up locally and seen all the positive changes to the area, we are excited to play our part in promoting all the town has to offer.

Mayor Norma Redfearn added: "We watched Whitley Bay over the years go down and down and down and I’m delighted that we’re now on the up. And when you have people such as these ladies willing to invest in Whitley Bay and give us a quality hotel, that is absolutely fantastic."
