Muhammad Manan appointed as Group CEO of new venture Eco Hotels UK Plc which aims to be the world's first carbon neutral hotel brand

Muhammad Manan, the former director of the Olayan Group, has been appointed as Group CEO of new venture Eco Hotels, which aims to be the world's first carbon neutral hotel brand of its kind that is economical and ecological. Roll out of Eco Premium and Ecolodge in the UK and India is planned through a hybrid asset management model.

Eco Hotels, an incubation by Red Ribbon Asset Management Plc, is intending to roll out carbon neutral hotels across the UK and India. It has two brands, Eco Premium and Ecolodge, which will offer carbon neutral hotels for guests with the latest Emerging Technologies such as Blockchain, IoT and AI. The brands will deliver green hospitality whilst conforming to the COVID-19 influenced changes in travel and hospitality.

Muhammad Manan is a former Property Director and Executive Board Member at the Olayan Group, the largest privately held real estate group in the world with a portfolio of more than 11,500 properties. He brings more than 21 years of experience in Real Estate, Hospitality and Leisure with leadership roles in private and public businesses in Asia, Africa, the UK and Europe. Previous roles include Global Franchise and Group Ops Director for EasyHotel Plc, Regional operations and Customer Experience Director for Travelodge Hotels Ltd, Senior Property Director for the Comet Group and Brand Director for IHG, Hilton International.

The new venture will see EBOT - Enterprise, Build, Operate and Trade, a proprietary asset management model that will revolutionise hotel asset ownership for landlords with a hybrid lease model.

Roll out of up to 5,000 rooms in the UK and 5,000 rooms planned in India over the next five years.

Newbuild properties will be constructed using advanced offsite construction methods and existing properties refurbished using green technology to achieve carbon neutrality.
