Fast-food franchise Chicking to open third Midlands outlet

03 December 2021

A fast-food franchise is opening its third Midlands outlet in West Bromwich following a deal brokered by Bond Wolfe.

Chicking has taken a ten-year lease on Unit 2, Moor Street, a 1,160 sq ft ground floor property previously used as a fast-food takeaway.

Parent company PPL Group UK has taken the lease, with a break at five years and rent free until 24 December 2021.

The Moor Street unit sits on the outskirts of West Bromwich town centre alongside a mix of residential apartments and retail properties occupied by Lloyds Pharmacy, a McColl's convenience store and a Chinese takeaway.

James Brady, commercial property agent at Bond Wolfe, said: "Demand for secondary retail units has been consistently high post lockdown and Moor Street as a location ticks a lot of boxes for retailers, with close proximity to plenty of chimney pots as well as other supporting retailers."

The landlord's solicitor was Moor Barlow, while the tenant was represented by Strasons Solicitors, based in London.
