A NEW fish and chip takeaway is set to open in a Herefordshire town as a couple expand their business.
Alfie's Kitchen is a new quirky takeaway coming to Bromyard after requests from locals, who wanted quality fish and chips.
The 1980s converted caravan, with chic touches, will run from the Kings Arms pub car park from Saturday (May 14) at 5pm.
They will serve from their mobile outlet which has an in-keeping image to the areas local character.
The takeaway will be open most evenings and offering fresh homemade food, including hand battered fish, sausage, roe, and homemade fishcakes served with crispy chips.
Owner Ashley Potter previously ran a chip shop in Saltmarshe Castle park, which took off during Covid for takeaways.
"We had a great following in Bromyard, but always had feedback 'wishing we were more in town'," she said.
Ms Potter created Alfie's Kitchen, named after her four-year-old son, to fill a gap in the town without treading on anyone's toes, she said.
"We respect the local area; we respect the local people so wanted to create a mobile takeaway that wasn't the square white box," said Ms Potter.
