Scoff Group, the UK’s largest Costa Coffee Individual Franchise Partner, have acquired ten additional Costa Coffee stores, expanding their business in the Cornwall region.

These ten stores were previously owned and operated by Costa Coffee.

In addition to the nine stores they purchased in February and their new Costa Van Cornwall, Scoffs now operate twenty stores in the region. Across the UK, Scoffs own and operate a grand total of 111 Costa Coffee stores, cementing their position as Costa Coffee’s largest UK franchise partner.

The company added in a statement: "Our growth in Cornwall is not limited to our existing stores, however. We have a strong pipeline of new stores coming to the region, helping us deliver more great coffee and food to the people of Cornwall and creating further jobs across the county.

"We’re honoured to have been able to purchase more Costa Coffee stores which sees us continue to expand our presence in Cornwall and demonstrates our commitment to the region. But Scoffs’ commitment doesn’t stop there! We will be supporting the further career growth of our new team members as part of our journey to becoming a world class franchisee. We look forward to welcoming customers to our stores and engaging the wider community in Cornwall."

Last month Paul Turner joined Scoffs Group UK,  in the newly-created role of Chief Operating Officer. Paul comes with a wealth of experience, working with large blue-chip retail and QSR businesses culminating in the support and leadership of more than 350 Costa Coffee stores and a headcount of over 4,000 employees.

Paul said, "I am delighted to be joining Scoffs at such an exciting time of growth. Over the next few weeks and months, I will be working closely with the teams, listening to all thoughts and ideas and getting to know everyone across the business”.

As COO, Paul will oversee our daily business and departmental operations. Paul will be driving operational excellence, enhancing and developing internal procedures and recruiting further high-level talent into Scoffs Group’s Leadership Team.

Antony Tagliamonti, CEO of Scoff Group, commented, "We are very excited to have Paul come on board as our COO. Paul has a wealth of leadership experience in Costa and is a well-respected high calibre individual within the industry. He is known for his ability to lead high-level strategic projects and deliver first-class operational standards. Scoffs Group is moving into an exciting new phase as we continue to expand aggressively as a multi-unit franchise business, and so Paul’s timing couldn’t be better for us.”
