Green light for Hotel Indigo in Coventry

The green light has been given for a new Hotel Indigo in Coventry.

The five-storey building will feature about 100 bedrooms as well as a restaurant and bar on the ground floor.

The bar will have space for 40 covers and the restaurant will have been 80 and 100.

There will also be a flexible private dining and meeting room as well as a mini gym.

A total of 42 full-time and 21 part-time jobs will be created.

The scheme forms part of the Friargate development which was granted outline consent in 2011 for a total of 25 new buildings including 14 offices and two hotels as well as residential accommodation, leisure facilities and new retail floor space.

This application relates to plot six of the scheme which is located immediately to the west to One Friargate.

The plan which was voted on by Coventry City Council at a meeting on Thursday 19 December.
