New luxury boutique hotel to bring 80 jobs to the city centre

A new luxury hotel set to open next year will introduce dozens of jobs to the city centre.

Officially launching in early 2024, The Address Hotel Glasgow will bring 80 jobs to Glasgow.

Taking over the former Pocotel on the corner of Renfield Street and West George Street, family-owned Irish hotel group The Address Collective have invested £9 million into the property.

The classical listed building will be transformed into "an address like no other with a new design-led, state-of-the-art, luxe urban retreat for locals and tourists to explore".

The building was originally designed for Lancashire Insurance Company in the 1890s.

Now, the impressive hotel will have 95 curated rooms, meeting rooms, a new bar and restaurant and a wellness spa.

The spa will feature a gym, plunge pool, heated loungers and a Himalayan salt rock sauna.

Ground-level eatery North will have all-day dining and craft cocktails and drinks for both guests and visitors.

The Address Glasgow joins The Address Collective in Dublin, Cork, Sligo, and marks the fifth hotel for The Address Collective.
