Plush new city centre hotel opens as part of £100m scheme

A plush new city centre hotel has opened its doors today.

Located on George Street, the AC Hotel Glasgow is ready to welcome guests.

It is a 245-room building, which is part of the £100m Love Loan development, which involves the transformation of an entire block near George Square into a thriving leisure and residential area.

The hotel fills an 80-year-old empty site on the corner of George Street and John Street and features panoramic views from upper floors across the city centre and further.

Hazel, a stylish new 100-seater restaurant for guests and the general public is also now opened by French Head Chef Eric Avenier.

It is named after the famous tree that features in the legend of St Mungo and offers fresh and exciting plates influenced by Mediterranean cuisine.
