BrewDog unveils plans to open four 'beer drive-thru' filling stations

10 July 2020

BrewDog has revealed plans to open the UK's first beer "drive-thru".

The Aberdeenshire brewer says customers will be able to drop off returnable bottles and mini kegs at the depots as they collect new supplies. It did not specify where the UK site, built in the style of a petrol filling station, would be.

The company's co-founder and "Captain" James Watt posted artists' impressions of a BrewDog Drive Thru and wrote: "As part of our commitment to sustainability, we are looking to open 4 @BrewDog Drive Thrus. They will be beer collection points, hubs for electric vehicle deliveries & hubs for closed loop, zero waste packaging such as growlers, mini-kegs & returnable bottles.

"We are looking to open in the UK, in Columbus Ohio, in Berlin, Germany & in Brisbane Australia as we look to find ways to deliver cold, fresh craft beer direct to our customers in a way that is better for the planet."
