Stay In A Pub launches a Late Pub Rooms offer

27 January 2020

Stay In A Pub, the online booking website, has launched a Late Pub Rooms offer on their website to fill empty rooms in the quieter times of the year. Pubs can be left with vacancies due to seasonal demand or quieter trading periods either during the week or at weekends.

Empty rooms are an enormous loss of profit with an average room rate of £76-£100and 80% of consumers saying they would eat and drink in the pub when they stay (Accommodation Report 2019 by RPBi on behalf of Stay a Pub).

Stay In A Pub will, on a weekly basis, promote late deals to its 10,000 mailing list and actively use social media. Stay In A Pub gains between 8-10,000 hits a week to the website. Remember 70% of accommodation is now booked on line.

Pub accommodation is gaining traction with consumers with 53% saying, that for the same spend, they would prefer to stay in a pub. Their perception is:
• 90% believe they are usually cheaper
• Over half agree that the food is better quality
• Nearly three quarters say its better value
• The majority think it has a better atmosphere than a hotel

Paul Nunny, Founder Director of Stay In A Pub, said: “The sector is heavily investing in accommodation as seen by the recent purchase by Fullers of Cotswold Inns. We now need to encourage consumers to enjoy the pub experience with an overnight stay and sign up to our weekly newsletter. The Late Pub Rooms promotion will place offers in front of customers to encourage them to discover great pubs to stay in and enjoy the warm welcome on offer. We also hope that it will prompt pubs to offer discounts in quieter periods as currently only 51% do!”
