Stoke-on-Trent pub to reopen under a new name

24 January 2022

Stoke-on-Trent's pub The Robin Hood, on Ford Green Road, in Norton, which closed last summer just weeks after reopening following the 2021 coronavirus lockdown is now set to reopen - and will be known as The Ford Green.

The Proper Pub venue, the managed pub part of Hawthorn, will re-open next month following a £120,000 refurb.

The community pub has operated on the site since 1845.

A spokesperson for Proper Pubs told StokeonTrentLive: "We’re delighted to share that the former Robin Hood will reopen in February following a £120,000 investment, under the new name The Ford Green.

"The Ford Green will be a proper community pub, offering a warm welcome for everybody and giving back to the local community as well, and we’re looking forward to sharing more information soon."

Proper Pubs was launched back in August 2021 and runs more than 130 pubs across England, Wales and Scotland.
