Greek restaurant secures Derby site

A traditional Greek restaurant has secured a second site, in Derby in a deal brokered by David Brown Commercial.

David Brown Commercial has let 9-11 Bold Lane to Zorba the Greek on behalf of private clients.

The former Iberico building is situated to the base of Sadler Gate, forming part of Derby's established nighttime circuit.

A statement from Zorba the Greek said: "We are thrilled to bring an authentic Greek restaurant to the city of Derby.

"We have invested significantly in the restaurant to create a traditional Greek dining experience. We have had many requests for bookings since opening earlier this month.

"Our food is prepared by Greek chefs in a traditional way and I invite you to come and try us."

Michael Green, chartered surveyor at David Brown Commercial, added: "Zorba the Greek have been looking to open a second restaurant for quite some time, having run their successful and established authentic Greek restaurant in Chelmsford for five years, which I understand is very popular with local people there.

"I am delighted that they have chosen the city of Derby for their second premises and wish them every success."
