Plans in for Fenwick Newcastle to create café terrace on the roof

An application has been submitted to create a new roof terrace café space at Newcastle's flagship department store Fenwick for the fourth floor.

The plans were lodged with Newcastle City Council for Fenwick Ltd by agent RFK Architects.

If approved, work would include the installation of a timber ramp and decking, an additional balustrade and a lightweight canopy.

A street food servery with enclosed charcoal oven would also be created along with a bar counter.

The terrace would operate between 9am and 11pm Monday to Saturday and 10.30am to 11pm on Sundays and banks holidays.
