Wimpy returning to High Wycombe after more than a decade away

26 October 2020

Burger brand Wimpy is making a return to High Wycombe after a gap off 11 years.

The new restaurant is opening in White Hart Street in the former G'rillers site.

It will have table space for up to 44 diners and obviously takeaway is also an option - but a home delivery option is also being planned, a spokesman said.

A spokesperson for Wimpy said: “We are delighted to be bringing Wimpy back to High Wycombe, we know our combination of good value, quality food and great customer service has been missed and we can’t wait to open the doors once again.”

The new restaurant will be owned and operated by a group of four franchisees who already run a number of Wimpy restaurants - including ones in Ruislip and Cheshunt.

No firm opening date has yet been set, but it is expected to be towards the end of October.

The previous Wimpy restaurant in High Wycombe closed in January 2009, a spokesman said.

It used to be in the Chilterns Shopping Centre.
