The venture on Cumbrae has been given the green light by local authority planners, with hopes it could be up and running by the summer.
The Jack’s Alt-Stays development includes five holiday lodges, a reception building, car park and landscaping works at the site to the north of The Cathedral of the Isles in College Street.
The 'Hive’Cabin' is now fully built and on display.
The duo behind the idea, Largs brothers Daniel and Adam Jack, have travelled the world staying in a wide variety of accommodation - and are hoping to use their global experiences to create something new for the island.
They'll be setting up cabins in Millport on the Isle of Cumbrae, which is known as Scotland’s “Most Accessible” Island. The exact location is top secret for now, but all will be revealed soon.
